All of these vehicles were equipped with NON PI engines. This was Fords first attempt at the SOHC motor and the results did not produce enough HP to satisfy the public, that is why Ford engineered the PI heads & manifold to replace the NON PI SOHC in 1999. This change increased the GT engine by over 60 rwhp.

Pre 99 heads had small ports & valves and large round 52cc chambers which did not “burn” well. Camshafts in these heads were only .460’’ lift and also short spring heights, you cannot install high lift cams in these heads. No improved intake manifolds exist for these heads, considering all these facts your money is best spent on our PI head swap kit.

STAGE ONE KIT INCLUDES . . . New PI heads with high lift .510’’x .530’’ cams, PI intake manifold w/aluminum crossover, water transfer tube, cam bolts, intake and     exhaust gaskets, head bolts and MLS head gaskets.
*This will produce  approximately a 65 RWHP increase with a 5 speed transmission*

 

STAGE TWO KIT INCLUDES . . . Everything you see in the first kit plus, competition CNC porting, five angle performance valve job, 1mm larger SS forged valves, Comp Cams HI-REV valve springs, CBN surfacing, and professionally assembled.
*This will produce approximately a 105 RWHP increase with a 5 speed transmission*
