All engine
blocks are AUSTRALIAN CLEVELAND, renowned for their increased structural integrity compared to US blocks.
Next they are treated to our exclusive “BLOCK BLUEPRINT” machine process which includes
LINE HONE with Arp main studs installed, bore and hone with our new
SUNNEN SV-10 and CBN parallel
surfacing of all cylinder decks. Performance cam bearings are installed
along with all water & oil plugs. The foundation of this engine
is the POWERHEADS 4.200’’ forged stroker crankshaft,
combined with a 4.030’’ bore creates the mighty 429
CID. Custom 2618 forged pistons and 6.00’’ forged
H beam conrods are teamed up with TOTAL SEAL “gapless” SS piston rings
and CLEVITE “friction coated” racing engine bearings. Rotating assembly
is balanced to ( NASCAR ) specs @ .2 grams per inch on our CWT 3000
precision engine balancer. A billet steel main stud girdle is installed
along with a Mellings HV oil pump & billet drive shaft rod. POWERHEADS custom hydraulic 429C roller cam and billet roller
timing chain set employed. An AMP
billet aluminum timing cover completes this stout short block. Next, CNC ported SUPERBOSS aluminum cylinder heads are installed along with ARP head studs and Fel
Pro premium head gaskets. Hydraulic roller lifters, chrome moly push
rods and billet roller rockers
complete the long block. Valve lash will be adjusted to the correct
lifter preload and a leak—down test performed to verify integrity
